Ieuan is a Welsh/Australian Optometrist with 38 years of eyecare experience. He graduated with Honours from Queensland University of Technology and has continued his professional development with further studies in the United Kingdom, Ocular Therapeutics, Orthokeratology, Behavioural and Developmental Optometry, and other areas of advanced eye care.

Ieuan joined Buck & Todd Optometrists in September 1989, following locum work throughout South Australia and Queensland. He has a special interest in Specialty Contact Lens fitting, including keratoconus, scarred corneas and children’s aphakia, as well as Orthokeratology, Children’s Vision, Behavioural Optometry and Reading Difficulties.

Helping Your Child If They Are Struggling
Ieuan is particularly passionate about helping your child if they are struggling with learning, reading, concentration or sporting performance, where vision may be contributing to their difficulties. Through Behavioural and Developmental Optometry, he can assess how your child’s visual skills may be impacting their learning and development.

Specialised Dry Eye Treatment
Ieuan also has a special interest in Dry Eye diagnosis and management. Buck & Todd Optometrists is proud to offer advanced Tear-Stimulating IPL treatment for Dry Eye, with Ieuan currently the only eyecare practitioner in the Mackay region offering this specialised treatment. This innovative technology can assist in managing certain forms of Dry Eye and improving comfort and ocular surface health.

Outside of optometry, Ieuan is married with four children. He enjoys travelling with his family and loves any opportunity to share a dad joke!

Ms Liz has worked in the optical industry for over 12 years, with the most recent years dedicated to Vision Therapy here at Buck and Todd. Liz really enjoys helping patients (young and older) to improve their ability to use their eyes, body, and brain together as a team and achieve their visual processing goals as well as learning all the different ways in which it is possible to do so. Liz married in 2023 after multiple postponements over the years and really loves and enjoys spending down time with her children, family and friends.

Tracey has been with the Buck & Todd team since 2018.  Tracey can assist you with accounts, pre-testing patients, dispensing needs, frame selection, and lens choices.  Tracey likes to spend her down time with her family (generally babysitting one or all 7 of the grandchildren).

Emily is our qualified Optical Dispenser and has been working in the optical industry since 2007. She is also a qualified Beauty Therapist and loves to utilise these skills when finding the perfect spectacle frame to complement a person’s facial features and skin tone to accentuate their appearance. She has a great passion for helping people to feel comfortable and confident in the perfect optical appliance to meet their needs. In her spare time, she is an adoring mother to her daughter and loves spending time with her husband and family.

Callum is our full time optical assistant who can help with all your optical dispensing needs and prides himself on frame selection. With over 5 years experience in the optical industry, Callum’s expert knowledge is invaluable to our team. Callum can also be found working our reception desk.
