Improving Low Vision

Low Vision

Low vision is defined as a visual impairment not corrected by standard eyeglasses, contact lenses, medicine or surgery, which interferes with the ability to perform everyday activities. There are many reasons for low vision, among them are: Diabetes, Cataract, Glaucoma, AMD, Nystagmus, Keratoconus, Retinitis Pigmentosa and more.

People with low vision can improve their quality of life through vision rehabilitation services to teach them how to use their remaining vision more effectively. Using a variety of aids may help maintain or restore their independence.

Improving Low Vision with RevitalVision

The RevitalVision treatment is a clinically proven, non-surgical and risk-free treatment that enhances visual processing in the brain and increases visual acuity and vision quality. It is the only existing treatment for adults having Lazy Eye which is approved by the United States FDA. The treatment efficacy was also tested and approved for cases of low myopia, early presbyopia and patients after cataract and refractive surgery.

Recently the treatment was tested on several low vision pathologies such as AMD, Retinitis Pigmentosa, Post intrastormal corneal ring and people with Nystagmus and bilateral amblyopia.

Most of the patients who suffer from low vision and who have completed the program have achieved significant improvement in their vision and their quality of life, for example:

• Reading subtitles on TV
• Reading signs in the street
• Recognising faces from a distance
• Decreased glare and improved night vision
• Safer driving and walking at night

The average improvement experienced is more than two lines on the eye chart and 100% in contrast sensitivity.

The Science Behind RevitalVision

It is possible to enhance brain processing by effective visual stimulation of the neurons responsible for vision in the Primary Visual Cortex, long after the critical age. RevitalVision neural training is clinically and scientifically proven and received United States FDA approval, unlike eye exercise programs that focus on relaxing the eye muscles.

During training sessions a series of visual tasks and repetitive images train the brain and improve visual processing. RevitalVision analyses performance and continually adjusts the individually customised training sessions to substantially improve vision.

Train your brain to see better

RevitalVision trains the brain to see better without additional surgery, enhancements, drugs or side effects.
About the program:

• 40 training sessions – completed at home on a computer
• 30 minutes on average – for each training session
• Customised – to your pace and visual ability
• Professionally monitored – by your RevitalVision Personal Vision Specialist

Getting Started

You should consult your eye care specialist about your suitability for RevitalVision treatment.

Will it work for me?

You may be suitable for the treatment if your best corrected vision is between 6/9 – 6/60. You should consult with your eye care specialist to find out if you are suitable for the treatment.

Does the program involve surgery or medications?

No, RevitalVision does not require any surgery or prescriptive medication.

How much will my vision improve?

The average improvement experienced is 2 lines on an eye chart and 100% in contrast sensitivity. This means that what you could see from 10 metres before the program you would be able to see from a distance of 17 metres after the program. However, the amount of improvement varies between individuals.

How long do the results last?

Just like learning to walk, riding a bicycle and learning to swim have long lasting effects, so does RevitalVision. You should note that the treatment will not slow down the progression of your eye disease. It will allow you to see better despite the condition of your eye.

Is it safe?

Yes. Prior to being released for commercial use, RevitalVision was researched and tested for over 20 years. There are no known risks, side effects or complications associated with this program.
