Innovative Vision Solutions

Orthokeratology (Vision correction while you sleep)

Using specially designed retainer moulds; similar to contact lenses you can improve your vision by sleeping with these retainers at night and not require glasses, contacts or surgery to see clearly all day. Suitable for prescriptions from +4.00 to -9.00 and for most astigmatism. Like contact lenses multifocal correction in possible. We have helped hundreds achieve clear vision all day since 2006. Myopia control is also attained through orthokeratology.

Revitalvision (Vision Training for Enhanced Sight)

Enhancing the neurological processing of the image that falls on the retina can improve visual acuity and stave off the need for reading glasses for a few years, as well as make low degrees of myopia and hyperopic defocs more tolerable, reducing the need for refractive correction. Revitalvision works particularly well at improving visual acuity in lazy (amblyopic) eyes with most paitents attaining 2 line improvement in visual acuity after completing 20 40 minute sessions.

Intuitive Colourimetry

Whilst not eliminating the need for glasses many people benefit from a reduction in vision stress through the appropriate use of precision lens tinting, allowing reading to become less stressful and increasing comfort. This is particularly beneficial for sufferers of migraine and epilepsy as well as showing significant improvement in reading speeds for children with learning difficulties.

Refractive Laser Surgery, Refractive Lensectomy, Intra-ocular contact lenses, Corneal Grafts, Intra-stromal rings and other less known surgical procedures are now used for vision correction. Each surgery carries a degree of risk and some are better suited to certain age groups and prescriptions. Multifocal implants are improving, with some allowing astigmatic correction as well.

We provide you with pre and post-operative advice and care.

Vision Therapy

In office vision therapy combined with regular home vision exercises and computerised ocular motor co-ordination therapy improves the binocular co-ordination and accommodative abilities reducing eyestrain and headaches and making reading and computer work easier. It can reduce dependence on glasses. By assessing your eye co-ordination we are able to determine if eye exercises are a part of the suitable solution for you.

Contact Lenses

Contact lenses can correct long-sightedness, short-sightedness and astigmatism and come in multifocal forms for those over 40 years of age.

We specialise in the difficult to fit cornea, fitting a wide range of RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) and (Large) scleral contact lenses. These hard lenses allow for healthier, crisper clearer vision where corneal irregularities such as keratoconus, or corneal grafts mean glasses cannot.

Not all modalities come in every prescription and not all will be suitable for your eyes, but with careful analysis and with the right expectations we can fit just about any eye with contact lenses.

Within the modality of vision correction using glasses, there is a wide variety of innovation and choice. Thinner, lighter, clearer lens materials and faster tinting transition lenses with UV protection coatings and custom designed progressive lenses makes for a huge choice of custom eyewear. Protecting your eyes from damaging UV and high energy blue radiation is strongly recommended. Prescription polarized sunglasses are a must in our bright summer conditions.
